2020 David Large "Nelson" Gamay Rouge Vin de France

Nelson is a juicy and soft wine made from a small vineyard in the village pocket of Rivolet with its sandy-clay soils.  The name refers to David Large's spunky, one-eyed cat, also pictured on the label. The grapes are farmed organically and biodynamically and undergo whole cluster fermentation and nine days of maceration. There is no oak ageing, no fining or filtering and only minimal sulfites added at setting.
